Weekly Rewind

The new books on my shelves and my week in a nutshell.

This post is linked to Stacking the Shelves over at Tynga’s Reviews and the Sunday Post over at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Life and Blog

Life: I’m down to just a week of summer break — sob. It is insane how quick a couple of months can go.

What I’m reading: I finished Paula Hawkin’s latest A Slow Fire Burning, which I enjoyed. It wasn’t as twisty as Girl On the Train, but it had a quick pace and I was invested.

What I’m watching: I caught up and am loving The White Lotus. I also finally watched the first season of What We do in the Shadows, which I adored.

New books: I have a handful of pretties to share. So without further ado, I hope you’re all having fabulous weekends!

For Review

Dark Things I Adore by Katie Lattari

Per synopsis: “Three campfire secrets. Two witnesses. One dead in the trees. And the woman, thirty years later, bent on making the guilty finally pay.” This one sounds fun.

A Soft Place to Land by Janae Marks

A MG novel about a girl struggling with the tense arguments between her parents and trying to save money for music lessons.

The Missing Hours by Julia Dahl

A wealthy NYU student who has been humiliated by a documentary then goes missing.

Lost Girls by Sonia Hartl

This is being billed as John Tucker Must Die with a gang of feminist vampires. I mean.

What Lives in the Woods by Lindsay Currie

A MG horror story about a creepy mansion and a forest filled with strange creatures.

Well that’s it for me this week. Feel free to leave a link to whatever weekend post you do (Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post, etc). I love to see what books people have recently snagged and especially enjoy hearing about my fellow bloggers’ weeks. I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!
