Weekly Rewind

The new books on my shelves and my week in a nutshell.

This post is linked to Stacking the Shelves over at Tynga’s Reviews and the Sunday Post over at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Life and Blog

Life: I am trying to type this post on my phone due to continued internet issues, so I am going  to keep the ramble on to a minimum. Please excuse typos and stray letters/words, etc. I’m having a nice, relaxing break so far. I have been mostly just reading and generally hanging out.

Blog and reading: Nothing on the blog. I’ve been doing a lot of rereading lately. I am currently on the 3rd book in the “Boy” series by Meg Cabot and just restarted Carry On with the release of the 3rd book in that series. I’ve definitely found that what I’m craving right now are familiar romances, a genre I haven’t been interested in these past couple of years.

What I’m watching: I’m still watching Elementary. I’m currently in the 4th season.

New books: I have a handful of pretties to share. So without further ado,  I hope you’re all having fabulous weekends!

For Review

The Other Me by Sarah Jeng

A woman finds herself in an unfamiliar world where she married someone she barely knew in high school. This one sounds fun.

Gone For Good by Joanna Schaffhausen

The first in a detective series where an amateur sleuth hunting a serial killer, long dormant, has ended up dead.

Chasing the Bogeymen by Richard Chizmar

A work of metafiction that blends horror and true crime. I don’t know how to sum up the synopsis in a couple of sentences, but it has me intrigued.

The Family Plot by Megan Collins

A woman’s brother, missing since he was a teen, is found in the grave reserved for her recently deceased father.

Well that’s it for me this week. Feel free to leave a link to whatever weekend post you do (Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post, etc). I love to see what books people have recently snagged and especially enjoy hearing about my fellow bloggers’ weeks. I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!

  1. Internet issues. 😱 Hope that stops plaguing you soon — it always drives me bananas, though I always make sure I have a good data plan on my phone so I can hotspot if necessary.

Chasing the Bogeyman sounds interesting! Hope you enjoy the new books!

  2. There are few things more annoying than internet issues. Hopefully you’re able to get those fixed up sooner rather than later. I think I read a Meg Cabot book before but don’t remember which one, I’m interested to hear how you like the book by her you’re currently reading. Have a great week!

  4. Hope the internet issues get sorted and you have a good week. Romance is a great genre for soothing reading, I love those HEAs.
