Weekly Rewind

The new books on my shelves and my week in a nutshell.

This post is linked to Stacking the Shelves over at Tynga’s Reviews and the Sunday Post over at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

My Life and Blog

Life: I had a wonderful time at the teacher’s conference in TX this last weekend. I attended some really neat sessions and snagged materials to use with my students. Now I’m just relaxing through my five-day weekend. We just went out to dinner on Thanksgiving. Both sides of our family live hundreds of miles away, and it just isn’t a meal you make for two. The countdown for winter break starts pretty much now. Three weeks of school and then two very glorious weeks off.

Blog and reading: I posted a look at new book and movie releases: What I’m Excited For. I re-picked up The Gifted School and have made some progress. I’m still enjoying We Used to be Friends and hope to finish it this weekend.

What I’m watching: Nothing, really. I think I already said this, but I had to stop after an episode of The Dublin Murders because I was feeling guilty for not having read the books. I rewatched The Last Jedi in prep of the new movie.

New books: I have a few pretties to share this week. So without further ado, I hope you’re all having fabulous (hopefully long) weekends!

For Reviews

Lucky Caller by Emma Mills

I’ve only read one other book by Mills (despite owning two more), but I enjoyed it. This book that follows a group of students running a school radio station sounds really fun.

We Wish You Luck by Caroline Zancan

This follows a group of MFA students who vow to take down one of their professors.

The Prized Girl by Amy K. Green

Police believe that the death of a young beauty queen is an open and shut case, but her older sister isn’t so sure.

What I bought

Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson

A teen grieving her friend’s life finds herself dealing with three classmates she’s accidentally raised from the dead.

The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks

I’ve heard good things about this one and couldn’t help but snag it.

Well that’s it for me this week. Feel free to leave a link to whatever weekend post you do (Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post, etc). I love to see what books people have recently snagged and especially enjoy hearing about my fellow bloggers’ weeks. I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!
