What I’m Excited For: Book and Movie Releases Week of 9.24.19

I spend an exorbitant amount of time looking for upcoming releases in both books and movies. I’ve been wanting to create a new weekly post for Natflix&Books for awhile and decided this would be the perfect post for my movie and book blog. On Tuesdays I’ll be featuring not just what is being released into the world of books each week, but also the movies you can look forward to on both DVD and in the theater each week. (Although, to be fair, I’m going to focus on the releases that I’m personally looking forward to.) So without further ado, here’s what I’m excited for this week.

Book Releases

Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell

I really enjoyed Carry On…and I adored Fangirl. I’m excited to see where Rainbow takes this story.

No Judgments by Meg Cabot

I love a good Meg Cabot book. She is always good for fluffy fun.

Rules For Vanishing by Kate Alice Marshall

This is said to be told in a documentary style (like The Blair Witch). I’m curious what that means in a text.

The Tenth Girl by Sara Faring

A gothic mystery about a South American boarding school and a new teacher who is missing one of her ten students.

DVD Releases

Yesterday

I’m not going to try to pretend to be unique for loving The Beatles. I completely understand that it is not a personality trait…but man do I love The Beatles. This movie looks so fun.

Child’s Play

The only thing that makes the remake palatable to me is having Aubrey Plaza in the role of the mom.

Theater Releases

ac

The Shadow of the Moon

This movie follows a detective tracking a serial killer who only kills every nine years, but that also defy scientific explanation. AND it has Michael C. Hall.

That’s what I’m excited for this week. Are you looking forward to any of these books or films?
