What I’m Excited For: Week of 6.11.19

I spend an exorbitant amount of time looking for upcoming releases in both books and movies. I’ve been wanting to create a new weekly post for Natflix&Books for awhile and decided this would be the perfect post for my movie and book blog. On Tuesdays I’ll be featuring not just what is being released into the world of books each week, but also the movies you can look forward to on both DVD and in the theater each week. (Although, to be fair, I’m going to focus on the releases that I’m personally looking forward to.) So without further ado, here’s what I’m excited for this week.

Book Releases

Mrs. Everything by Jennifer Weiner

This book that follows a pair of sisters sounds like a departure from the 90s chick lit that Weiner is known for, and I’m here for it. I’m really excited for this one.

Screen Queens by Lori Goldstein

This is billed as The Social Network meets The Bold Type. It follows three young women interning in Silicon Valley for the summer.

Teeth in the Mist by Dawn Kurtagich

This follows three women living centuries apart and one unholy deed that ties them together.

Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey

Tom Hanks is pretty much the perfect dude. This rom-com looks like a fun way to spend an afternoon…just like a Tom Hanks movie.

DVD Releases

Captain Marvel

I have to admit that even though I’ve become less enamored with Marvel movies as they keep spitting it out, I’m still excited for this one.

Five Feet Apart

I’m hoping that this sick kid movie isn’t too derivative. Has anybody seen this one?

Theater Releases

aa

MIB International

These movies are almost always fun.

That’s what I’m excited for this week. Are you looking forward to any of these books or films?
