Publisher: Scholastic
Release Date: September 3, 2019
Synopsis from Goodreads:
Societies thrive on order, and the Rating System is the ultimate symbol of organized social mobility.
The higher it soars, the more valued you are. The lower it plummets, the harder you must work to improve yourself. For the students at the prestigious Maplethorpe Academy, every single thing they do is reflected in their ratings, updated daily and available for all to see.
But when an act of vandalism sullies the front doors of the school, it sets off a chain reaction that will shake the lives of six special students — and the world beyond.
Why I’m Excited:
This sounds like a mix of Brave New World and that Black Mirror episode starring Bryce Dallas Howard. I don’t read a lot of dystopian-type stories (the market just got so saturated with not-great stories after The Hunger Games), but this sounds really interesting. Also, I’m loving this cover. It’s eye-catching. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for this one.
What upcoming release are you excited for this week?
Wow, this is my first time seeing this one but it does sound pretty good. Thanks for sharing!

I know what you mean about the saturation of the market with dystopian novels. This sounds really good though – – and unique. I hope you love it!
