What I’m Excited For: Week of 1.22.19

I spend an exorbitant amount of time looking at upcoming releases in both books and movies. I’ve been wanting to create a new weekly post for Natflix&Books for awhile and decided this would be perfect for the blog. On Tuesdays I’ll be featuring not just what is being released into the world of books each week, but also the movies you can look forward to on both DVD and in the theater each week (although, to be fair I am going to focus on the releases that I’m looking forward to). So without further ado, here’s what I’m excited for this week.

Book Releases

All is Fair by Dee Garretson

A teen at a boarding school ends up in a dangerous mission in WWI England.

The Woman Inside E.G. Scott

This cat-and-mouse thriller between a cheating husband and a drug-addled wife is getting some pretty mixed reviews. I have a copy of this but obviously didn’t get to it before its release. I love thrillers, but frankly only good ones. Should I give this a shot?

The Birds, the Bees, and You and Me by Olivia Hinebaugh

This looks like a cute high school story where a girl in her senior year starts giving sex advice to counteract an abstinence-only policy.

DVD Releases

The Hate U Give

I’m excited to see the movie adaptation.

First Man

As much as I love Ryan Gosling, I have to admit that I have very little feeling for this movie…Has anybody seen it yet?

New in Theaters

aa

Serenity

It’s interesting to see these two do a thriller together as it isn’t either’s normal genre. They play ex-spouses and she comes to him asking for help in killing her current husband.

That’s what I’m excited for this week. Are you looking forward to any of these books or films?
