I spend an exorbitant amount of time looking at upcoming releases in both books and movies. I’ve been wanting to create a new weekly post for Natflix&Books for awhile and decided this would be perfect for the blog. On Tuesdays I’ll be featuring not just what is being released into the world of books each week, but also the movies you can look forward to on both DVD and in the theater each week (although, to be fair I am going to focus on the releases that I’m looking forward to). So without further ado, here’s what I’m excited for this week.
Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty
Big Little Lies was the first book of Moriarty’s that I read (it seems impossible that it’s been four years!). I followed it up with The Husband’s Secret…and then just kind of stopped reading her work. I own both Truly Madly Guilty and The Hypnotist’s Love Story…and have no explanation for why I haven’t read them. Anyhoo, I’ve been dying to get my hands on this one and am pretty sure I was the first on the list in my library’s system, so I’m hoping it will come in this week.
Archenemies by Marissa Meyer
I’ve been about halfway through the first book for a year now. I’m honestly not sure why I put it aside after reading the first 200 or so pages…but that’s what I did. I need to pick it back up so I can get on this one.
Little White Lies by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
I won’t repeat my rant about this author. I have this but haven’t read much of it yet. We’ll see.
This movie about a black man who infiltrates the KKK with the help of his Jewish co-worker looks amazing. I’m really excited for this one.
In Theaters This Weekend
I have not read this yet. I still need to read the third book of the original series. I honestly might watch this without reading it first (I know!).
This is a WWII horror film. I know it isn’t the first one, but the premise is intriguing enough to have me interested.
Well that’s what I’m excited for this week. Are you looking forward to any of these books or films?
